Emberline Wood

Emberline Wood is thermally modified hardwood and softwood engineered to deliver enhanced dimensional stability, durability, and long-term performance in architectural applications.

Through a controlled, high-temperature, heat-only process, the cellular structure of the wood is permanently altered to reduce hygroscopic behavior—meaning the material absorbs less moisture, swells less, and performs more consistently across changing climates. This process improves resistance to biological decay while maintaining the inherent strength and workability of each species.

Thermal modification also produces a uniform, through-body color transformation, creating rich, dimensional tones without stains, chemicals, or surface treatments. The result is a stable, predictable wood product with improved service life and reduced maintenance requirements compared to untreated lumber.
